This is a lovely smoke scent. I use the extreme concentration for this one and a little goes a long way.

Kind of expected more of a hickory or liquid smoke-esque scent. But this one has a bit more of an incense overtone to it. Good, but not what I was looking for- though I used it in a different project and it works beautifully....

Yup, it's burning wood smoke. I find it quite versatile for blending. SOS Concentration.

Bit disappointed with this one. I find it too sweet smelling. I'm going to see how it blends with wood notes and hopefully I can get something that resembles a woodsmoke note. I purchased this in extreme and it is very strong. OOB it has almost a sweet candylike note in the background that I cant put my finger on. It gets more of a smoke quality when diluted but unfortunately it does not really remind me of true smoke if not for the power of suggestion here. I think it will add a nice depth to blends though especially men's colognes...

Ordered sniffie sample and tested its dry down on a piece of cotton. This is a very nice, neutral and somewhat mellow smoke note. During its entire dry down the scent reminded me of a burning incense stick but without any character, completely open to creative blending. Distinctly different from the other burning woods types of fragrances in my collection. Love getting more smoky variety to play with. Will be back for more of this one!...

Remove that chemical/rubber smell and this would be a perfect smokey fragrance oil.

Smells almost exactly like real smoke OOB but with a sweetness, and goes to full on authentic smoke scent after hitting the air for a few seconds. Also definitely lingers like real smoke. Ordered sniffie for perfume application....

Ordered in Extreme and used in soy candles. Very strong and good as a versatile generic smoke, different feels depending on what it's paired with. A little goes a long way!

Definitely more of an incense smell. It is nice smelling and true to an incense smell but I am looking for a campfire smell.

acrid birch tar, with a slight burning plastic lean. i was hoping for a woodsmoke note but got a tarry one that's very similar to the characteristics of the hoppes #9 scent instead.

I would classify this more as a smoke note - great for mens scents as it not only has a little bit of smokey scent but also a cologne like edge. For a real burn/smoke smell try Firewood but both combined is really really nice. Ordered as a sniffie but I am ordering this in a bottle too so I can use it as that quintessential mens note in blends. Purchased for topical use....

I want to bathe in this fragrance and bear its children. It is nothing short of intoxicating; ecclesiastical but sexy.
It lends itself beautifully in parrafin; both hot and cold throw is stellar.

One of my absolute favorite scents, blends perfectly with Firewood for that awesome campfire smell I was looking for. I use it in everything, candles, lotions, soaps. I cannot get enough of this.

It's a moldable smoke. You can easily add other oils to this to make it into a smoke you want it to be. It's a nice smoke, reminds me of being in church. I got SOS concentration. Will get it again.

I am amazed by how nice and smokey it smells. To me it smells like soft wood and a bit like incense smoke. Gives fragrances a nice touch of smokyness. Wish I had this when a client asked for a hint of smoke in his fragrance. I am extremely happy, I received the SOS as part of a testing sample and once I run out I am going to buy more....

Smoke, here represents the more sweet, hotter smoke smell like burining charcoal on a grill. More like liquid smoke, less like the ashy plums. Works great when blended with other foods or wood fragrances. Unique....

Not nearly as smoky as I'd hoped. In the SOS concentration, it's barely detectable and once it's in a blend, it's gone. Very disappointed. I was looking for wood smoke or incense smoke, or something smoke. This is a slightly sweet woody scent with the suggestion of smoke that is mostly clearly synthetic. It's not bad, but it doesn't work as a smoke note in perfumery....

Got this in a Sniffie Sample. This smelled like a sweet smoke from a barbeque pit to me. Not a bad thing, though. I think this would be great mixer with other scents like frankincense or patchouli.

This smells less like standard wood smoke and much more like the smoke from incense (which certainly has wood products in it). I lived in Japan for 5 years and every time I smell it I flash back to the shrines and temples over there. This is how they smell. As others have stated, use this as a mixer to add complexity to a scent....

This is a excellent mixer scent! You can add it to nearly anything to give it a woodsy feel. I can't live without it. It makes fruits more grown-up and sensual, it makes fresh scents more masculine. Planning to add it to pine to make "lump of coal" soaps and candles for Christmas!...
