I sure wish I knew why I don't get anything the other reviewers did. I only smell nasty strong, overpowering cumin and taco seasoning. There's nothing metallic or steel-like in this at all. There are no cool notes. It's very like Metallic Copper was to me plus an undertone that reminds me of an old barbershop, like an old fashioned oily, smooth men;s tonic or cologne (possibly neroli oil). That note is quite nice, but it's drowned in cumin and hot peppers. I'm afraid I hated this one. I very very rarely rate SOS scents at the lowest rating, but this one goes there along with Metallic Copper and Dashboard. Argh....

(Ex. Con.) Strong OOTB. I didn't find this to be 'cold'. This smells like a warm stairwell and almost like the way a chain link fence smells (but not as much metallic tang as the real thing). Other things I compare this to; 1) a brand new unpolished steel drain pipe, 2) like sniffing a smooth river stone. I detect something that smells like vetiver mixed with pressed board or cork board. There is a very light metallic tinge to it to the point where i actually felt it a tiny bit in my teeth when i sniffed it on the paper. I give it 4 1/2 stars....

Its interesting. In bottle you get the cold metallic scent but once its in candle form it tends to lose its metallic scent all together. I used it with the Blood scent and it made it alightly more bloody smelling but in general it works better with smokey scents....

I ordered this in a sniffie size, extreme concentration, for a test run of some scents I wanted to make, but this was more vapor rub than that metallic steel smell I was hoping for and it just overpowered all the other scents I tried mixing it with....

The first note is really peppery, but then it almost immediately goes into a metallic scent. The SOS concentrate of this is really pretty strong.
