I bought this in the Ultra to make incense blends and I have to say that oob, this has a strong petroleum smell, not at all what I was expecting from the description. It has not added the depth I wanted for my incense blends, so I don't think I'll try it a second time....

We bought this scent in 1 Oz SOS Strength to use on incense sticks. I really love it for blending. It is crazy good and potent in an awesome way!

I bought a sniffie of this (ex. con.)
I guess I had a different idea of how this was going to smell. I was expecting it to have powder and wood notes. Instead, this smells like all different kinds of incense combined. But not in a good way.
It smells less like resin coated incense and more like the charcoal kind, before it's burned. Very fresh and piercing. I also didn't detect any smokey notes. I will however point out that it was really strong OOTB which is good....

If you've ever stepped into a new age store and smelled all the various incenses and resins in the air at once, you know what this smells like. It's not straight-up nag champa, but more nag champa than the blend sold under that name. This adds a beautiful smoky, resinous quality to everything I use it in. Definitely a good addition to your scent library. Ordered in Extreme for use in perfumery....

Nice, but a little too "soapy" for me to use as a blender. Could be stronger. The powdery aspects are good and there's a slight burnt wood note that makes it more dynamic, but it's just a tad too clean/soapy and not resinous enough for my needs. I might try blending it with amber and chalk for a truer smell. Used Ultra....

Perhaps the SOS concentration is that much thinner? I didn't get the resinous incense other reviewers did, which is what I was hoping for. I got a rather unpleasant sharp green mildew vibe at first try, like a forest floor of rotting needles and fallen leaves. After a good long time it dried down to a faint incense-feel without actually smelling in any way like any incense I've ever owned. (powder, stick, resin, con and liquid. It's none of these) It might blend okay, but it's not an incense blend so much as an outdoor woodsy blend. Trying it again in huge concentration, it never lost the green gamey smell. Nothing at all like I wanted; I was hoping for resin, or the smell of powdered incense on the stick, or even burning incense smoke. Forest floor wasn't in the mix. Eh....

I received an SOS sniffie of this and it's exactly what I was expecting... resinous and faintly smoky. I'll definitely be purchasing a bottle to add to my line-up for perfumery blending purposes.
