Exactly what I was looking for. I've been searching for a subtle, warm skin musk scent for my perfume blends that isn't loud or glittery or contains a bunch of other notes, and this is the winner: A smooth, subtle skin musk with light sweetness that almost lends it a chocolatey aspect. Delicious, blendable, lovely....

sos con. very nice musk, not over powering, and with a real good staying power. blends well with every thing from patchouli to roses, adds the mystery of musk to a lot of scents you normally wouldn't blend musk with. i have had a lot of fun playing with this one, and have come up with some real unexpected winners a must have for any shop...

(Ex. Con.) This is subtle OOTB. I would have to agree that it is a "new musk". It is not strong, animalic, overly sweet, marine or too powdery. Just an all around soft musk.

XC-Extreme- purchased the strong one as musks are usually very subtle- this is a great fragrance for blending, mellowing out stronger fragrances. All in all a good purchase...

This musk smells like NEW MUSK, SKIN MUSK and MUSK (W) all sold and stocked by SOS. I am a huge fan of musks but this (or these) musks smell more like root beer or sarsparilla. I guess it is not easy to make the perfect musk .... but this one or these musks might be good as blenders. As stand alone fragrances ... there will not be much attraction happening....

SOS sample. I got a sample of several musks before, and this smells exactly like the new musk, not at all what I was looking for...will try in body oil and lotion and come back with results.

this is a very nice scent, not as strong as some so it doesn't overpower everything else. it gives a nice balance to an overall fragrance.

This is a musk for people that do not wish to be too intense in their scent. It is subtle, but not too quiet. It can be used by either gender, and I think it will adapt to the person wearing it. OOB is quiet, but the scent lasts a long time on a small amount....

Although pleasant, this scent was not exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping to find a traditional-smelling musk oil. This is more of a new musk; in fact, it smells quite a bit like Prince Matchabelli's New Musk for Men. At any rate, it is an attractive scent. Initially, I thought that it was a little too feminine, almost floral, but it really grew on me.
In SOS concentration, it is a deceptively quiet scent: I thought that I had put too little on, but I got occasional wafts of a lovely dry-down all day long. I thought that it had finally died down, but I could still smell it twelve hours later. I would say be careful not to use too much....
