Like a green unripe papaya. Nice! Strong OOB - Very green and tart. If I did a blind smell test comparing this frag oil to a grocery store fleshy ripe papaya, I would not immediate spot this as being papaya scent. I imagine this is what a green unripe papaya smells like. Can definitely be used as a papaya scent for sure....

somewhere between mango and papaya, but smells much better out of the bottle than it does on the skin, but at least it isn't overwhelmingly sweet or chemical. it's an incredibly brief top note that disappears into a blend....

I have to be honest, I was very disappointed. It smells ok out of the bottle, but changes as it drys. Be very careful, and I wouldn't use this on its own. Apparently it spilled, and we had the stench of moldy cheese in our back room for a week. I wont be ordering this one again. If I could, I would give it 1 star....

This papaya is green papaya, with a peppery undertone. I can understand why the other reviewers didn't like it out of the bottle. This is an IDEAL scent to add to moderate the hypersweet intensity of some of the fruits out there, and it would work well with certain florals, too. It is recognizable as papaya if you've cut a lot of the green ones over the years....

I order this oil a while ago and I could not stand the smell it reminded me of vomit, so I never used it. Today I was working on a tropical perfume for a client I accidentally grabbed the papaya oil instead of peach, and I thought why not try it out. I am so glad I did! I actually ended up using this oil for about 70 % of the fragrance in the fragrance I was creating and it turned out GREAT! This is one of those oils that smells very repellent out of the bottle but is great once it dries down. I used the sos concentration....

When I first received this I thought "YUCK" this is not good at all. However its one of those that you have to put in wax. It smells pefect, and very real to the fruit. I was so surprised. We can't keep it in stock. Don't trust the OOB- its truly great in all our waxes....
